CHECK-IN

Check-in at VixX is completely autonomous. After completing the online check-in & checkout form, we will provide you with the necessary information to ensure that your self-check-in runs smoothly. In principle, you can check in in VixX from 3 pm to .... but if you prefer to check in earlier, give us a call and we will see if this is possible.

 

CHECK-OUT

We also provide a fully automatic check-out. You can therefore leave the key on the counter when you leave your room (no later than noon) and we will send your bill by e-mail.

Sleep late and check out later? That is also negotiable based on availability. For this we charge a modest surcharge of 15 euros per hour, after noon

VixX offers you the following payment options: by credit card or in advance by bank transfer. We accept the following payment cards: VISA, MasterCard and American Express,

breakfast

• Monday – Friday: 07.00 - 10.00 u

• Saturday – Sunday (and holidays): 08.00 – 11.00 u

If you order breakfast we place a delicious breakfast basket with fresh bread rolls in front of your suite. This way you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning hours in private and quietness.

You can choose between the following breakfast baskets:

• "Standard": bread rolls, croissant, chocolate roll pastery, ham, cheese, chicken fillet, cheese spread, jam, choco paste, biscuit spread, milk, fruit juice, granola, natural yoghurt, boiled egg € 22,50
• "Luxury"*: standard breakfast basket + fresh orange juice + fresh fruit salad €27,50
• "kids" (<12 years): sandwich, donut, fruit yoghurt, fruit juice, milk, sweet cereal, chocolate paste, jam, children's surprise, boiled egg €17,50 

You can optionally also choose an uncooked egg + bacon + baking butter, so that you can prepare an egg of your choice in the kitchen of your suite.

* If you have already booked breakfast included, you can upgrade to the Luxury breakfast basket with a supplement of € 5 pp. Please indicate this at the online check-in

You can also put together your own breakfast basket à la carte (min. 1 day in advance).

DINing

Are you looking for a restaurant for lunch or dinner? VixX is at walking distance from the historic heart of Mechelen with lots od nice restaurants. You can also find restaurant tips ons our page "things to do" on this website. You prefer eating in your suite? No problem, you have your own kithen to prepare something delicious and of course you can also order take-out.

Accessibility

• By car: Major works are currently taking place on the ring road around Mechelen.

  We therefore strongly recommend that you use this application https://www.waze.com/nl/live-map/directions/mechelen-vlaams-gewest-be to reach the car park and the hotel as smoothly as possible.

  It may also be useful to follow the signage to “Parking Inno” as this car park is located diagonally opposite the entrance to our car park.
  It mainly comes down to entering the center from the ring R12, near the Thomas More Campus, via the Augustijnenstraat.
  The direction of travel on this street and several other streets in the area have changed recently so chances are your GPS is sending you in the wrong direction.

• Public transport: VixX is easily accessible by public transport. Both the station "Mechelen Centraal" and the station "Mechelen Nekkerspoel" are within walking distance (15 minutes walk).  At the Central Station Mechelen there are always taxis waiting at the main exit

PARKING

Free secured parking for our guests who book their suite directly (through this website, by mail or by phone). For guests booking through other channels, the parking costs € 19 / day.

This closed parking is just across the street, the entrance is around the corner (diagonally opposite Parking INNO).

Please mention when booking that you want a parking space (reserve here). In this way we will certainly keep a place for you and you will receive the necessary instructions in time.

You can also use our parking to give your bikes a safe shelter.

This makes VixX the perfect base for exploring the beautiful region of Mechelen and Flemish Brabant by bicycle.

smoking

VixX is completely non-smoking. If you do smoke in your suite, we are forced to charge € 200 for extra cleaning costs.

Smoking is only allowed outside: on your private balcony or on the public terrace on the 4th floor!

SUPERMARKeT

There is a grocery around the corner and there are several supermarkets within walking distance.

BABies & toddlers

A cot (€ 20), a care table and a safe high chair are available on request.

Stay

You can book our suites from 1 night already.

 

RESERVATION

• You can book our suites in 3 ways: by telephone, by e-mail or through the website www.vixxhotel.be. After receiving your request or booking, you will receive a confirmation of your stay as soon as possible.
• We ask for a credit card (number + expiry date) as a guarantee (nothing will be charged yet). At check-out, you can use this card for your payment or pay in a different way. If you do not have a credit card, you can also carry out a bank transfer in advance.

Night noise

Do you also look forward to a relaxing stay in Mechelen and a refreshing night's rest in your king-size bed? That is why we ask you to keep quiet after 22 hours, both inside and in front of the hotel.

Pets do not fit within the interior of VixX. Thank you for understanding.
